Dr. Ali Al-Dulaimi

Head of School, School of Computing & Innovative Technologies

An instructor with a Ph.D. and around 25 years of cross-disciplinary experience, with a long list of skills and certificates. Throughout his international career, Dr. Al-Dulaimi held different roles: teacher, lead teacher, head of department, lead instructor, research team leader, and Quality & Project manager. Using his solid academic foundations and extensive professional experience, he has inspired and guided many students toward significant professional achievements, providing them with comprehensive coaching and guidance to win many medals in academic competitions worldwide. In collaboration with a prominent Canadian POS systems company, he developed a POS software that stands as a pioneering solution, capable of resolving many challenges retail businesses encounter, marking a significant advancement in the industry.

His degrees and experience have equipped me with skills, knowledge, expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and best practices to maximize his potential as an instructor and researcher.

Assoc. Prof. Anchit Bijalwan

Assoc. Prof. Anchit Bijalwan

Associate Professor

Dr. Anchit Bijalwan is an academician, researcher, consultant and mentor with 15 years of teaching experience for graduate, postgraduate students, and Ph.D. He successfully completed many projects from the UN, DST and AMIT.

Dr. Anchit has authored two books and published more than forty research papers in reputed international journals and conferences.  He is also working on various international research and community service projects. His specialization is in Privacy & Security. His interest areas include network forensics, botnet forensics, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, and machine learning.

He has chaired the technical sessions for IEEE international conferences as well as Springer conferences and he is also a committee member for umpteen conferences. He was a keynote speaker of the IEEE conference which was held in El Salvador, Central America. His research interests include IoT, network security & privacy, Botnet forensics. He is a reviewer of Inderscience, IGI Global and many other publishers.

Dr. Viju Prakash

Dr. Viju Prakash

Programme Lead - Computer Science

Raised and educated in India, Viju Prakash completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. Following graduation, in 2005, he completed a Master of Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. He later completed his PhD titled, “A Power Aware Routing Protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks” in Computer Science and Engineering.

Viju was employed as Lecturer from 2007 to 2010 and Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2017 in India. He then worked as an Assistant Professor for 4 years in Ethiopia and Iraq leading as a Member of the Post Graduate Governing Council and Research head.

In addition, since April 2022, Viju passionately continues to work as a Senior Lecturer at British University Vietnam to inspire and motivate his students toward innovation that is close to the current trend.

Dr. Donie Jardeleza

Lecturer

Donie, originating from Iloilo City, Philippines, obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of San Agustin in 2000. Over two years, he garnered valuable IT industry experience post-graduation. Transitioning to academia in 2004, he spent seven years as an Assistant Instructor at Saint Paul University Iloilo, nurturing a passion for teaching and mentorship. From 2012 to 2024, he served as an Associate Professor at Central Philippine University, delving into research as the Department Head of the College of Computer Studies. Donie’s expertise spans Data Science, Machine Learning, and IoT, leading to pioneering projects like predictive modelling and IoT solutions. Outside academia, he enjoys outdoor sports and hiking, finding inspiration in nature, and indulging in coffee during moments of reflection, fueling his intellectual pursuits.

Dr. Sasikumar

Dr. Sasikumar

Lecturer

Raised and educated in India, Sasi completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. Following graduation, in 2011, he completed a Master of Technology in Information Technology. He completed his PhD in 2023, titled “A Novel Machine Learning Paradigm for Pattern Extraction from Multivariate Data Sources Using Big Data Analytics” in Computer Science and Engineering.

Sasikumar began his academic career as a Lecturer (2008-2009) and Assistant Professor (2011-2014) in India. From 2014 to 2023, he worked in Ethiopia under the UNDP, holding key roles such as Curriculum Development Chairperson and Focal Person for the Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Analytics, Head of Internal Research Projects Evaluation, and serving on various committees at Wollo and Ambo Universities.

He returned to India as an Associate Professor (2023-Jan 2025), where he served as Chief Coordinator for the Research and Development Cell.

Sasikumar is also dedicated to Creative Outreach projects, completing six research and community service initiatives in Ethiopia in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Trade.

Dr. Dang Quang Vinh

Dr. Dang Quang Vinh

Lecturer

Vinh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Vietnam National University – Hanoi in 2009. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from Université de Lorraine in 2018, completing his thesis under the supervision of Prof. François Charoy and Dr. Claudia Ignat at Inria Nancy Grand-Est, France. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Hanoi Law University (2013) and a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University (2021).

Vinh is actively involved in academic research, with over 50 papers indexed in Scopus, most of which he authored as the first author. As of August 2024, he has an h-index of 15 and more than 650 citations.

In addition to his academic achievements, Vinh has extensive experience in the software industry. He has served as a Project Manager at FPT Software, Head of Data Science at Be Group, Head of Data at DatViet VAC, and Chief Data Officer at several startups. He has also led R&D efforts at various other companies.

Hoang Bao Long

Senior Teaching Fellow

Bao Long is a lecturer, researcher, entrepreneur and interaction design expert specializing in game design, interaction design, user experience and psychology. He is also interested in entrepreneurship and startups, applying human-centered design to developing products to solve modern social life problems.

Outside of teaching, he also is co-founder of LacBird Co. – a game company in Vietnam and Australia, taking responsibility for coaching and mentoring game studios. Together with LacBird, he has supported 6 game development teams in Vietnam and Australia to achieve their milestones and expand from indie teams to mid-size studios.

Fraser Harrison

Associate Lecturer
Programme Lead - Software Engineering

Born in Scotland, Fraser completed a Software Engineering degree (Bachelor of Engineering with Honours) from Edinburgh Napier University in 2013. With a primary focus on machine learning and genetic algorithms.

After graduating, Fraser worked as a software developer in the oil and gas industry and as a cloud-based consultant developing and customizing customer relationship management software.

In 2016 Fraser moved to Vietnam and worked for the British Embassy, managing their IT infrastructure, before moving to a cyber-security related role. In 2020, Fraser returned to academia, completing a Master of Software Engineering focusing on “progressive web” applications.

Fraser is currently working on various research projects relating to how we teach computer science and computational thinking.

Programme Lead - Computer Games Design & Programming and Games Art

David has lived and worked as an educator in Vietnam for the past 8 years and has always focused on creating a fun, inclusive and engaging learning environment for his students. David currently holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Post Graduate Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education. He has taught many different programming languages such as C++, Python and HTML and specializes in teaching Computer Games Design within the Unreal Games Engine. David is most intrigued by Game Theory, AI Behaviour and Level Design.

David has been involved with the development and growth of countless student projects within the subjects he teaches and ensures that students finish their degree with expert knowledge of their chosen field and competent communication, project management, and critical thinking skills. It is important for David that students leave with both a degree and improved soft skills that they can utilize within the professional environment.

Chau is a seasoned professional in software development, particularly in game development, with over 10 years of experience. He graduated from FPT University with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering in 2017 and later earned a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from FSB (FPT School of Business & Technology).
With a deep passion for technology and an insatiable curiosity for innovative ideas, he constantly seeks to explore, learn, and share his knowledge with the community. He enjoys mentoring and supporting young talents who share the same enthusiasm, helping them unlock their potential in the field of technology.
