BUV Fashion Club recently organised the Tan Vien Fashion Show, attracting over 200 audience members and featuring 50 outfits designed by young talents from BUV and several universities across Hanoi.
Following the success of “52” and “Nhi Thap Cuu”, Tan Vien marks an inspiring comeback for the BUV Fashion Club. Taking inspiration from the image of fire, the event was more than just a runway show; it represented a journey of fashion’s rebirth, connecting the past, present, and future through every cut and stitch.

What makes Tàn Viên truly special is that every part of the show, from concept development and organisation to design and stage production, was entirely created by BUV students. Within just two months, these young and passionate members turned their ideas into reality, taking charge of everything from building the concept and choosing the venue to designing the outfits and directing the show.

Under the bright stage lights, BUV Fashion Club’s talented models took the audience on a journey through three chapters, vividly portraying the life cycle of the fashion flame.
The first chapter, “The Last Flame,” was a journey back in time – a tribute to trends that once burned brightly, reminding us that beauty never truly disappears; it merely rests, waiting to be awakened. Throughout this segment, the young designers brought the echoes of past fashion eras back to life through bold denim pieces inspired by the vibrant spirit of the 1990s.

Inspired by Y2K and early 2000s Hip-hop culture, the next chapter celebrated the fearless spirit of youth – those who dare to break boundaries and make their own mark. Every cut and stitch reflected a sense of freedom, confidence, and a touch of boldness.

The collection “Reignite”, designed by Nguyen Thy Dung, showcased bold modern creativity and a fresh, innovative spirit

The final chapter, “Enternal Flame” concluded the show with a powerful statement, marking the beginning of a new, daring, and mysterious era of fashion.
After the event, Cong Long, the Project Director and President of BUV Fashion Club, shared: “For us, Tàn Viên was more than just a fashion show; it was the result of months of hard work, from struggling to find the right concept to running countless rehearsals, and finally seeing the lights come on at the show.
Tan Vien carries the message that fashion, like life, always has pauses and new beginnings. Every challenge we faced during the preparation became a source of motivation, a chance to learn, grow, and move forward together.”

Through its three main chapters and guest collections, Tan Vien Fashion Show not only depicted the cyclical journey of fashion but also served as a vivid testament to the talent and creativity of BUV students. The event offered the audience an unforgettable artistic and fashion experience, reminding us to appreciate the beauty of the past and recognise that every design carries an invisible thread connecting the past, present, and future.
