After over three months of intense preparation and successfully navigating through three challenging rounds, Team Taxscape from the British University Vietnam has proudly claimed the National Championship at the Deloitte Tax Challenge 2026.
The Taxscape team consists of four first-year Finance students from the University of London programme at BUV – Pham Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Le Hong Anh, Mai Hong Anh, and Nguyen Hai Linh. Competing against 27 talented teams from universities across Vietnam, the team took on the role of a professional tax consultancy group, addressing complex issues related to international tax, transfer pricing, applied tax regulations, and Vietnam’s upcoming Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Law.
Guided by Mr. LTM Maredi, Senior Teaching Fellow and Discipline Lead for Accounting, Finance & Economics at BUV, and with mentorship from Ms. Nguyen Dieu Thuy from Deloitte Vietnam, the team excelled through meticulous research, strategic preparation, and strong teamwork. This allowed them to overcome the academic challenges presented by the competition, while refining their specialised knowledge, analytical abilities, and critical thinking.
This remarkable achievement not only highlights the exceptional talent of BUV students but also underscores their resilience and preparedness to tackle any professional challenge. It is a testament to the high standards of education at BUV, where students are equipped to thrive in competitive, real-world environments.
Taxscape’s triumph will see them represent Vietnam at the Southeast Asia Finals in Malaysia this January 2026.
