British University Vietnam (BUV) is pleased to announce the signing of a new progression agreement with the University of Galway, Ireland, further expanding international study pathways for BUV students. The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam, reflecting the growing educational ties between the two countries.
This new agreement opens up exciting postgraduate opportunities for BUV graduates at one of Ireland’s leading universities, with the following key benefits:
-
15% tuition fee discount for BUV students pursuing a Master’s programme at the University of Galway.
-
One 50% tuition scholarship awarded annually to an outstanding BUV graduate enrolling in a postgraduate business programme. This prestigious award, named the “University of Galway – British University Vietnam Academic Excellence Award”, is offered by the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics.
With the Irish Embassy in Vietnam witnessing this latest agreement, the partnership signals a shared commitment to creating global opportunities for young talents and strengthening ties between Vietnam, the UK, and Ireland.
This agreement builds on the existing collaboration between BUV and the University of Galway. In December 2024, the two institutions signed an articulation agreement in Hospitality Management, establishing a pathway from BUV to the renowned Shannon College of Hotel Management – a constituent college of the University of Galway known for its global industry reputation.
Established in 1845, the University of Galway is one of Ireland’s four national universities and the third-oldest in the country. Located in the vibrant city of Galway – a cultural and technological hub on Ireland’s west coast – the university is recognised for its research excellence and dynamic student experience.
In addition to a quality, accredited British education delivered by 100% internationally qualified faculty, BUV students can look forward to expanded opportunities through the university’s growing partnerships with top-tier UK universities and other global institutions. These opportunities offer enriching cross-cultural experiences and access to a wider international network, preparing students with the skills and perspectives they need to thrive in a globalised future.
