Learning Without Borders: BUV Students Explore the UK with the International Experience Programme 14:56:58

“One Journey, Four Gains”
As part of BUV’s International Experience Programme, a 10-day trip to the UK gave students a “one journey, four gains” experience which blends academic learning, cultural immersion, professional exposure, and global networking opportunities.

Students visited five prestigious universities: Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Staffordshire, Bayes Business School (City, St George’s), Arts University Bournemouth, and Bournemouth University. The visits provided valuable insights into the UK education system and academic culture.

For Nguyen Hai Anh, a second-year International Business Management student, the highlight was Staffordshire University where she will soon begin her exchange semester. “Visiting the campus helped me get familiar with the environment, so I feel better prepared for my upcoming journey,” she shared.

Alongside BUV’s British-standard education, the trip gave students a chance to directly experience UK academic life. It also reflects BUV’s commitment to expanding partnerships with leading universities, helping students access world-class education.

The programme also featured a visit to FPT UK in London, where students learned from the success story of a Vietnamese enterprise going global. “I realized that to go global, you need not only effort but also vision, courage, and commitment,” said Hoang Nhat Mai, a second-year Tourism Management student.

Beyond academics and business, students enjoyed cultural immersion through visits to iconic landmarks such as the Palace of Westminster, Big Ben, and Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock. “It wasn’t just an academic trip — it was a journey of self-discovery and expanding horizons,” said Nguyen Khanh Linh, a second-year International Business Management student.

The experience also sparked new aspirations. “Meeting lecturers and students abroad inspired me to think about postgraduate studies or future exchanges in the UK,” said Nguyen Huy Son, a third-year Finance and Economics student.

A Launchpad to the World
The International Experience Programme plays a vital role in BUV’s internationalization strategy, giving students transformative experiences beyond the classroom.

“I’ve learned that education is not limited to books or lectures — it’s also about people, culture, and real-world engagement. That’s what I value most about studying at BUV,” Huy Son added.

By strengthening partnerships with top UK universities and expanding international exchange opportunities, BUV continues to serve as a launchpad, empowering students to reach the global stage.

BUV students can also diversify their learning experiences overseas with a network of 72 prestigious universities across 17 countries in 5 continents. This network includes many top-tier institutions across the globe, including the esteemed Russell Group in the United Kingdom, which comprises the 24 leading, research-intensive universities, as well as Triple Crown accredited business schools, representing the top one percent of business schools worldwide.

Studying at BUV, students can choose from short-term study abroad or semester exchange programmes, transfer to a BUV partner university overseas in their last one or two years, or continue their academic journey by pursuing a postgraduate degree from one of the top-ranked institutions in the world. All these opportunities are supported by personalised assistance from the BUV International Office.
