As BUV attracts growing numbers of prospective students and job seekers interested in our programmes and career opportunities, some unauthorised individuals attempting to contact community members through various channels claiming to represent our University have been reported.
Despite previous warnings from relevant authorities and BUV about these activities, some community members have unfortunately been targeted by individuals using increasingly sophisticated methods.
Therefore, BUV continues to recommend that parents, students, and employees remain vigilant and alert to situations showing signs of unauthorised contact. Some of the most common scenarios include, but are not limited to:
- Impersonating government agencies (Police, Procuracy, Courts, etc.) and making false accusations to cause panic and psychological manipulation.
- Impersonating BUV to request tuition payments, participation in scholarship programmes, international exchange programmes, or other fees.
- Sending forged documents from government agencies, BUV, or claiming to be courier services, requesting payment of fees, scholarships, or financial proof.
In reality, all official communications from BUV are only transmitted through the University’s official communication channels, including:
- Website: https://www.buv.edu.vn
- Social media platforms:
- Zalo OA: zalo.me/buvofficial
- Email: Email addresses with the domain suffix “@buv.edu.vn”, for example departmentname@buv.edu.vn or personalname@buv.edu.vn.
- Text messages: The hotline identifier is “DH BUV”.
To protect legitimate rights and interests, BUV recommends that parents and students:
- Only trust official BUV information sources: Always verify the source of all information before deciding to conduct any financial transactions.
- Protect personal information: Do not provide personal information, banking details, or make payments according to unverified requests.
- Stay alert and calm: If in doubt, take a moment to check and verify information, avoiding pressure from suspicious urgings from unidentified accounts.
- Prevent unauthorised activities: Report immediately to the University when detecting suspicious signs through the Student Information Centre at email address campuscentral@buv.edu.vn, or telephone number 0936 376 136 (during business hours).
Meanwhile, BUV is actively cooperating with relevant authorities to implement measures to prevent and handle organisations and individuals impersonating the University in accordance with the law. BUV hopes to receive cooperation and information sharing from parents, students, and employees to further strengthen our commitment to protecting community interests and maintaining a safe environment for BUV students and employees
