On 7 March 2026, a delegation from British University Vietnam (BUV) visited the Hunan Enterprise Confederation of the China Chamber of Commerce in Bac Ninh Province, marking a meaningful step in strengthening ties between BUV and the Chinese business community in northern Vietnam.

During the visit, the BUV delegation, represented by Dr. Tingting Xie – Discipline Lead for Business Postgraduate Programmes at the Graduate School and China Relationship Manager at BUV, met with senior representatives of the Hunan Enterprise Confederation, including Mr. Guo Menyou – Executive Vice President, Mr. Wang Hualin – Executive Vice President, and other members of the Confederation’s leadership.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on several areas of mutual interest, including the educational aspirations and needs of Chinese families and enterprises in Vietnam, how high-quality British education in Vietnam can support students seeking an international degree closer to home.

Discussions also explored opportunities for closer collaboration through industry-informed teaching and learning activities, such as guest lectures, company visits, applied student projects, internships, and employer engagement. In addition, both sides discussed the potential for tailored training and executive education programmes to support the professional development needs of member enterprises and their staff.

Reflecting on the visit, Dr. Tingting Xie said: “This visit marks an important step in strengthening BUV’s engagement with Chinese enterprises and communities in Vietnam. As a British university in Vietnam, we are committed to bridging education and industry through accredited British education, applied learning, and meaningful industry engagement. We look forward to deepening collaboration through structured partnerships in talent development, executive education, and industry-informed learning initiatives, contributing to the long-term development of both students and the business community.”

Welcoming the opportunity for dialogue, Mr. Guo Menyou shared: “We were pleased to welcome the delegation from British University Vietnam and to learn more about the University’s academic strengths and its commitment to supporting the Chinese community in Vietnam. It is encouraging to see a university that values both educational quality and close engagement with enterprises and families. We look forward to further communication and to exploring areas of collaboration that may benefit our member enterprises and their children.”

The visit reflects BUV’s broader commitment to strengthening partnerships with international communities and enterprises in Vietnam, while equipping students with high-quality British-accredited education, applied learning experiences, and strong industry engagement.

As BUV continues to expand its outreach to the Chinese market and to be viewed as the top international university in Vietnam and the surrounding regions, such exchanges play an important role in fostering trust, understanding, and long-term educational cooperation.
