In April, BUV students had opportunities to embark on a journey that blends education and exploration with the International Experience Programme in South Korea. Over seven days, they traverse the vibrant destinations and breathtaking landscapes, immersing themselves in the country’s rich culture.
During the trip, students had opportunities to visit and meet representatives from two prestigious institutions in South Korea: Hanyang University and SeoulTech University. These interactions allowed BUV students to learn about the Korean education system, exchange knowledge and culture with local students, and gain valuable insights into Korean language and culture. Additionally, a stop at the Seoul Startup Hub offers students a glimpse into the country’s entrepreneurial spirit and explore how different businesses operate in South Korea.
Beyond academia, students delved into Korean history and culture, from participating in sightseeing tours, learning about Korean customs, and experiencing local life. They indulge in the art of making kimchi and don traditional attire, Hanbok, connecting with the nation’s heritage on a personal level.
Sharing about this phenomenal experience, a student said: “I love how we can balance the trip between studying and exploring.” Another student shared that the trip was beyond his/her expectations: “We explored many places in Seoul. The trip was well scheduled, and we can do many different things every day.”
This inaugural trip proved to be a resounding success, offering BUV students a comprehensive and enriching cultural experience that broadened their horizons and fostered international understanding.
