BUV Pioneers Cutting-edge Technology To Enhance Digital Learning Experiences 14:44:40

Anticipating the rise of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data, BUV pioneers the integration of advanced technologies into its teaching, delivering a comprehensive and practical learning experience across all disciplines.

Revolutionising computer science education with Codio

BUV is the first university in Vietnam and the only institution in the region to implement Codio, setting a new benchmark in digital education. Codio, a state-of-the-art cloud-based learning platform used by world-renowned institutions such as MIT, the University of Cambridge, Meta, and Coursera, provides an advanced coding environment featuring an online IDE, debugging tools, and virtual desktops. Codio is redefining programming education by offering a cloud-based, AI-powered platform that adapts to the unique needs of each learner.

Codio is viewed as a game-changer for teaching and learning in BUV’s School of Computing & Innovative Technologies.

At BUV’s School of Computing and Innovative Technologies, students gain practical programming experience through real-world projects while using Codio. With features like instant, automated feedback, students can identify and correct errors in real time, encouraging independent learning and deeper understanding of core concepts. Codio helps simulate an industry-like feedback loop, which is especially useful for beginners. Plagiarism detection tools promote academic integrity, while collaborative workspaces support teamwork on coding assignments, mirroring industry practices. By integrating Codio into its curriculum, BUV equips students with not only strong technical foundations but also the agility and collaborative mindset demanded by today’s global tech industry. This forward-thinking approach helps graduates stand out in the job market and adapt quickly to evolving technologies.

Harnessing AI and Innovative Technologies to Transform Education

Beyond computer science, BUV is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) across disciplines to enhance personalised and efficient learning experiences. AI-powered assessment videos using HeyGen provide students with clear, well-paced instructions in an accent-neutral format, complete with automated subtitles. This innovation is particularly beneficial for students studying in a second language, eliminating misunderstandings and improving knowledge retention.

To enhance teamwork dynamics, BUV has introduced BuddyCheck, a peer evaluation software that allows students to provide anonymous feedback on group projects. This technology promotes accountability, ensures fair contributions, and provides lecturers with valuable insights into group performance.

BuddyCheck enhances teamwork efficiency by facilitating fair peer evaluation and constructive feedback within group projects.

In addition, BUV’s active learning approach is further strengthened through Classpoint, an interactive platform that engages students in real-time quizzes, feedback sessions, and collaborative activities. By fostering a dynamic and immersive learning environment, BUV is redefining classroom interactions and boosting student engagement.

Equipping Students with Advanced Tools for the Digital Era

With specialised programmes in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT, BUV continues to expand its technological ecosystem by incorporating industry-leading tools. Students gain hands-on experience with Python, R, TensorFlow, and Tableau for data analysis and AI development, utilise Minitab for advanced statistical processing, and work with the Thunderboard Sense 2 and EFR32xG24 Dev Kit to build IoT applications.

By integrating these cutting-edge technologies, BUV ensures that students are not just learning theory but also applying their knowledge to real-world projects. This practical exposure gives them a competitive edge in the job market, preparing them for careers in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

At BUV, we believe that education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about preparing students holistically for the future. By embracing the latest advancements in educational technology, we create an innovative, inspiring, and future-focused learning environment.

Through pioneering digital learning solutions, BUV continues to unlock new opportunities for students, empowering them with essential digital skills, creative thinking, and the confidence to excel in the digital age.
