Strengthening Academic Partnerships in the UK

As part of its expanding portfolio of international partnerships, British University Vietnam (BUV) has taken another significant step in connecting Vietnam with top-tier UK universities through a newly signed progression agreement with City St George’s, University of London.

This agreement enables BUV future graduates from The Business School and The School of Computing & Innovative Technologies to enrol in a range of relevant master’s programmes at City St George’s.

In addition, eligible students will enjoy a 20% tuition fee discount, offering enhanced support for their academic and professional development in one of the world’s leading education hubs.

“London is a top-ranked city for students, and we are really delighted to recognise our partnership with BUV by offering their talented graduates a new progression agreement,” Dr. Sionade Robinson, CMgr, FCMI, FRGS, SFHEA, Vice President Enterprise, Engagement and Employability at City St George’s, shared. “We’re looking forward to welcoming them to our vibrant London programmes in business, practice and the professions.”

In addition to offering expanded academic pathways for BUV students, the collaboration also gives City St George’s students the chance to experience Vietnam through meaningful cultural and academic exchanges. This spirit of exchange was highlighted in the summer of 2025, when BUV proudly welcomed a group of City St George’s students to join the Culture Immersion Programme and experience Vietnam’s rich culture and vibrant learning environment. Building on this foundation, both universities look forward to deepening their partnership and fostering even greater academic and cultural connections in the years to come.

Diversifying international mobility opportunities

This agreement with City St George’s further demonstrates BUV’s commitment to expanding top-tier UK university partnerships and extend international mobility options for students.

In addition to British-accredited degrees delivered in Vietnam, BUV students can explore global study opportunities through a network of over 70 prestigious partner universities across 17 countries and 5 continents. Students are offered a wide range of pathways – from progression to master’s study, short-term cultural immersion and semester exchanges, to transferring for one or two years at top-ranked global institutions.

Compared to independent applicants, BUV students enjoy a seamless and fast-tracked international pathway with four distinct advantages:

  • Pre-mapped and Customised Pathways: Tailored academic routes that maximise BUV credits, save costs and time, while ensuring authentic international experiences.
  • Lightened Application Load: With support from the BUV International Office, students reduce their application workload by up to 70–80%.
  • Streamlined Admissions with High Success Rate: Exclusive pathways, including potential waivers for English proficiency and entry exams, have resulted in a 90% success rate for international mobility programmes.
  • Guaranteed Partner Scholarships: 100% of qualified students recommended by BUV International Office have access to scholarships from partner universities, subject to availability.

With its vision of becoming the leading international university in Vietnam and the region, BUV continues to empower students with not only rigorous academic training but also diverse international experiences. By fostering adaptability, cross-cultural understanding, and resilience, BUV ensures that its graduates are equipped to thrive as future-ready global citizens.
