Research in securing IOT System: AI-driven web database protection with advanced encryption 14:52:22

With a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Viju Prakash specialises in wireless sensor networks, cybersecurity, and AI-driven optimisation. His research focuses on enhancing web-based database security in IoT environments.

His latest work tackles SQL Injection (SQLI) and Data Inference (DI) attacks, two major threats to data integrity and privacy in smart systems. To address these challenges, Dr. Prakash has developed a hybrid security model that integrates Discrete Bee Colony Optimization (DBCO) for detecting malicious queries and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) for secure data processing. This novel approach achieved an impressive 93.56% security efficacy, significantly enhancing attack prevention without compromising system performance.

Key contributions of his research:

  • Advanced Threat Detection – DBCO improves accuracy in identifying harmful database queries, reducing false positives.
  • Secure Data Processing – FHE enables encrypted data to be processed without decryption, ensuring maximum privacy.
  • AI-Driven Security Solutions – The research paves the way for more adaptive cybersecurity frameworks tailored to future web applications.

Dr Prakash’s research reflects BUV’s commitment to innovation and real-world impact. By integrating AI-driven optimisation and advanced encryption, his work contributes to building more secure and resilient web-based systems. Through his expertise, he continues to inspire students and researchers to develop future-ready solutions in cybersecurity.
