Professor Raymond Gordon
Vice Chancellor, President and General DirectorProfessor Dr. Raymond Gordon was appointed to the position of Vice Chancellor and President of the British University Vietnam in February 2018. Professor Gordon is not only an experienced leader in higher education but is also an accomplished academic with extensive teaching and research experience at universities throughout the world. His research work is in the field of leadership and power in organizations, and he has successfully published over 70 peer-reviewed academic books, journal articles and book chapters. Prior to becoming a full time academic, Professor Gordon spent 25 years in the corporate sector where he held senior leadership positions in the fields of general management, marketing and sales, technology, and engineering management. Both as a corporate professional and academic Professor Gordon worked extensively in Australia, Asia, UK, US, and Europe.
Professor Dr. Raymond Gordon was appointed to the position of Vice Chancellor and President of the British University Vietnam in February 2018. Dean (Higher Education)Raised and educated in Australia, Mark completed a bachelor’s degree in economics as a mature student at Adelaide University. Following graduation in 1983, Mark commenced employment as an Accountant for a subsidiary of BHP, in Sydney. Many positions followed working in government and banking until the year 2000 when he establishes a successful accounting business. With 4 partners Mark sold his interest and moved to France, in semi-retirement to complete his master’s degree in international relations. However, following a call from RMIT Vietnam Mark started as lecturer in accounting but soon after became Head of Department for Accounting, Economics, Finance and Marketing and where he completed his doctorate in business in 2016. Mark returned to Australia to take up the Academic Director of AAccounting position for Kaplan Business School. Australia. Mark is an avid mountain walker and martial artist in Taekwondo.

Dr. Dong Manh Cuong
Head of School, The Business SchoolDr. Dong Manh Cuong is currently the Head of The Business School at British University Vietnam (BUV). He has many years of teaching experience at both domestic and international universities, delivering international programmes offered by institutions such as RMIT, San José State University, Troy University, St. Francis University, etc.
His research focuses on applied econometrics in the fields of finance and economics. He has authored numerous academic publications in prestigious international journals indexed in ISI/Scopus. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several leading international journals such as PLOS ONE, Financial Innovation, International Journal of Finance and Economics, The North American Journal of Economics and Finance, and Computational Economics, among others.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Dong Manh Cuong also serves as an academic advisor to several scientific organizations. He is currently the Chair of the Scientific and Training Council at the Centre for Socio-Economic Data and Analysis (CSEAD VNU-UEB) and the Vice President of the Vietnam Institute for Digital Economic Development (VIDE). He has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, making significant contributions to academic advancement and policy development in the context of economic transformation and digitalization

Throughout his international career, Assoc. Prof. Al-Dulaimi held different roles: teacher, lead teacher, head of department, lead instructor, research team leader, and Quality & Project manager. Using his solid academic foundations and extensive professional experience, he has inspired and guided many students toward significant professional achievements, providing them with comprehensive coaching and guidance to win many medals in academic competitions worldwide. In collaboration with a prominent Canadian POS systems company, he developed a POS software that stands as a pioneering solution, capable of resolving many challenges retail businesses encounter, marking a significant advancement in the industry.
His degrees and experience have equipped me with skills, knowledge, expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and best practices to maximize his potential as an instructor and researcher.

Assoc. Prof. Michael George Perkins
Associate Professor, Head, Centre for Research and InnovationAssoc. Prof. Dr. Mike Perkins is the Head of the Centre for Research & Innovation at British University Vietnam, Vietnam. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of York, where he explored performance management in local policing services. His current research focuses on performance management, academic integrity, and the impact of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies in academia.
Mike is one of the authors of the AI Assessment Scale, which has been adopted globally across schools and universities. His research focuses on GenAI’s impact on education, and has explored various areas within this field. This has included AI text detectors, attitudes to AI technologies, and the ethical integration of AI in assessments through the AI Assessment Scale. His work bridges technology, education, and academic integrity.
Mike has also explored broader academic integrity issues. These have included investigating the murky operations of diploma mills, and student perceptions of cheating during the transition to online learning prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic. In her previous role overseeing Student Recruitment and Partnerships at BUV, Ms. Hanh made significant contributions to the substantial growth in student numbers. This achievement earned her and her team numerous awards from the Vice-Chancellor from 2019 to 2022, recognizing her outstanding contributions in driving enrollment, fostering innovation, and building comprehensive communication strategies that elevated the university’s profile in higher education, particularly in international education in Vietnam.
Now, as the Director of Marketing and Communications, Ms. Hanh’s mission has evolved from focusing solely on growing student numbers to building a sustainable brand as the foundation for growth. Her goal is to establish BUV as a reputable and enduring international university in Vietnam, which will naturally attract and retain student numbers through its strong brand presence and reputation.

Kim Dung’s research focus is on the development of policy for the private education sector in Vietnam. She is an active member of the Law Composing Panel of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. Her work on opening private education policy is reflected in the 2018 and 2019 reforms to the law on higher education, which was certified by the Merit Award of the Minister of Education and Training in 2019.

Having graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Hien has built strong competency in developing and managing international partnership relations for organisations in the commercial and higher education sectors. With over 11 years of work experience in international organisations, of which 7 years in the Higher education sector, as BUV International Office Manager, Hien manages all partnership links with international institutions and educational partners and oversees all global engagement activities for the University.
