British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and other UK universities. BUV is rated a 5 Star university of excellence by the world recognised QS accreditor and is also recognised with a University-wide accreditation from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

POSITION PURPOSE
The Videographer is responsible for executing high-quality video production and motion graphics to support marketing and communications initiatives. This role focuses on capturing and editing visual content that aligns with brand guidelines and project briefs, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all media outputs. The position contributes to enhancing brand visibility and audience engagement by delivering timely and effective multimedia materials.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Video Production & Motion Graphics (Core Focus)
- Video Storyboard: Develop detailed storyboards for university campaigns, transforming academic concepts into compelling visual narratives.
- Professional Videography: Execute high-end cinematography, mastering on-set lighting, frame composition, and visual storytelling techniques to capture campus life and student success.
- Advanced Post-Production: Lead the editing process, including precise cutting, professional color grading, and sound design/mixing.
- Motion Design: Create high-quality Motion Graphics, animation, title sequences, and visual effects to enhance video aesthetics and ensure a premium brand feel.
Photography Support
Support professional photo shoots for high-profile campus events, promotional activities, and portraiture.
Programme & Brand Asset Production Support
Technical support for on-set production and post-production, overseeing framing, composition, and cinematic aesthetics.
Quality Control
Ensure all visual content consistently meets the high standards of BUV’s brand guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain the photography and video production equipment, ensuring everything is functioning properly and up-to-date.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Film, Media Production, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.
- A strong Portfolio/Showreel showcasing high-end commercial video and motion graphics work is mandatory.
- Proficiency in professional camera operation, lighting, and photo and video editing software.
- Artistic Vision: A keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and music integration in video editing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Adequate English communication skills.
