We are inviting experienced candidates to apply for a part-time teaching position within the Business School on our International Hospitality Management programme, starting in September 2025. We are looking for industry practitioners and/or experienced educators that can successfully deliver engaging classes on premises design and layout engineering within the hospitality industry.

BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (BUV)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are interested in hearing from candidates with knowledge of the hospitality industry and facilities planning who can contribute to high quality teaching on our programme.

(Essential)

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline area from an internationally recognised institution
  • In-depth knowledge of premises design and layout engineering, ideally in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of design software for 2D and 3D modelling of layouts
  • Experience of teaching or equivalent industry training, or strong potential to be successful in the classroom delivered entirely in English
  • Ability to use a range of up-to-date delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Clean police record

(Desirable)

  • Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review.
  • Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia
  • Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality assurance and enhancement in an HE environment.
  • Evidence of a positive impact at a discipline or programme level beyond own teaching
  • Higher education teaching qualification, recognition, or accreditation, or willingness to work towards this.
  • Holding a working visa/ temporary resident card and meets requirements to work in Vietnam.
