POSITION PURPOSE
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the International Office Manager (IOM) in managing the core functions of the Department, including institutional partnerships, student mobility (academic and non-academic programmes), administration and support services.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily departmental operations and conducting regular performance checks against departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the role involves collaborating closely with the IOM to execute and manage departmental strategic projects.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Assist IOM in managing the International Partnerships function, ensuring alignment with the Department’s and University’s new partnership development strategy;
- Lead the International Partnerships function in the execution of strategic plans designed to enhance dynamic partner/student engagements and collaborations;
- Represent the IOM in events, meetings, and conferences related to partnerships and student mobility when assigned;
- Oversee the performance and daily operations of the student mobility function, which includes managing all academic mobility opportunities (exchange, transfer, progression) and non-academic mobility programs (e.g., cultural immersion, work experience, international internships…);
- Build and continuously improve efficient information sources, student mobility processes, and procedures to ensure seamless experiences for all key stakeholders (students, parents, and internal/external collaborators);
- Proactively develop and execute strategic promotional campaigns and plans to ensure the continuous enhancement and visibility of the University’s Internationalisation portfolio locally and internationally;
- Assist the IOM in compiling cross-functional operational reports on a regular basis, and compile high-level strategic reports as required;
- Support the IOM in monitoring the departmental budget, tracking expenditures, and maintaining accurate records of student mobility revenue;
- Assist the IOM in the execution and management of student mobility scholarship programmes;
- Assist the IOM in identifying and exploring new opportunities to enhance the Department’s brand awareness and commercial performance, driving sustainable growth.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Essential
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/International Relations Management or Education Management or other related fields
- Excellent English and Vietnamese verbal and written communication skills and listening skills
- Experience in business and partnership management from a multi-national organization
- Good in Computer literacy skills: MS office applications (PPT., DOC., EXCEL., OUTLOOK)
- Good with Microsoft 365 (and its Applications)
- Negotiation skills are essential
- People management & leadership skills are essential
- Project management skills are essential
- Soft-skills: Public speaking/ presentation skills
- Research and business analytical experience
