BUV students immersed in two-week cultural adventure in the United Kingdom 09:28:45

As part of BUV’s International Experience Programme, this two-week journey to the UK, developed in collaboration with esteemed UK universities, offers students invaluable opportunities to immerse themselves in British academic excellence and rich cultural experiences.

BUV students recently had opportunities to embark on a transformative academic journey to the UK during the International Experience Programme. This 2-week programme is meticulously designed to enhance their learning experiences through engaging workshops, industry talks, and cultural exchanges.

Students visiting Staffordshire University – one of the prestigious awarding bodies in BUV

The workshops are hosted by our distinguished partner institutions, Staffordshire University and the University of Salford – one of the top-ranking universities in the UK. The workshops provide students with invaluable insights into various academic fields and professional practices.

The series of workshops at the University of Salford offered a vibrant mix of activities, prominently featuring a session on Virtual Reality & Bodyswaps Simulation, which provided students with immersive learning experiences and the opportunity to develop practical skills. This session offered students the opportunity to develop their resilience and employability skills as part of the career mindset module. They also participated in a creative Lego Serious Play session to stimulate their creativity and access solution with different methods before concluding with a tour of the Media Suite and other facilities throughout the school. These sessions bridged the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application, preparing students for future academic and professional endeavors.

Staffordshire University is one of the trusted and prestigious partners and serves as the awarding body for BUV’s academic programmes. Annually, BUV sends students to Staffordshire for exchange programmes, fostering collaboration and cultural exchange. These initiatives strengthen ties between Staffordshire and BUV, providing students from both universities access to diverse learning environments and enriching their academic journey and growth.

MancStudents have the opportunity to visit Old Trafford Stadium, the world-famous “Theatre of Dreams.”

Besides academic sessions at two universities, students also visited some of the UK’s most famous historical landmarks across six iconic cities: Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, Liverpool, York, Stratford-upon-Avon, and London. These visits were designed to deepen students’ understanding of the UK’s rich cultural heritage and historical significance.

The unique blend of Manchester’s rich industrial history and modern cultural scene enchanted BUV students, showcasing a seamless mix of old and new. In other cities, students experienced unique cultural aspects that left lasting impressions. Liverpool captivated them with its musical legacy and maritime history, while York offered a glimpse into medieval England with its well-preserved architecture and cobblestone streets. Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, inspired them with its literary heritage. Finally, London’s iconic landmarks showcased the grandeur and diversity of the UK, leaving students in awe of the vibrant city.

Chu Minh Duc, a Marketing Management student shared his thoughts: “After the programme, I gained lots of new experiences and made new friends. We had a lot of fun together. England is a beautiful country, and the landscape is simply amazing. As a football fan, visiting several football stadiums in England was an incredible and exciting experience for me. This was my first time in England, so I didn’t know what to expect, but the programme’s schedule was well-organized and convenient. I’m grateful to BUV for creating such an interesting programme that gave students the chance to explore England.”

This programme is the first of many international learning opportunities that BUV plans to offer, aiming to nurture a new generation of global citizens who are prepared to thrive and contribute to a connected world. As BUV continues to expand its international programmes, we look forward to seeing how our students will apply the knowledge and experiences gained from this journey to their academic pursuits and future careers.
