POSITION PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Software and Application Support to join our team! As a Software and Application Support at our company, you will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects and develop your career.

The Software and Application Supporter is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and end-user support for a range of software programs and business applications within an organisation. The position may also be involved in software deployment, testcase design and validation, updates, and user training.

To be successful as a Software and Application Support, you should be result-driven, have good communication skills, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. Ultimately, the Software and Application Support should act as the first point of contact for users experiencing issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

 AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Troubleshooting and issue resolution:
    • Diagnose and fix application and system issues, and provide technical support to internal and external users.
    • Escalate complex problems to higher-level support or vendors as needed.
  • Incident management: Respond to and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate logging of all issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, support manuals, and knowledge base articles for known fixes and procedures.
  • Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of recurring problems.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and infrastructure, to resolve complex problems and implement solutions.
  • Deployment and validation management: Assist with the deployment of application version updates, change validation, and bug fixes.
  • Process automation: Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.

 POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with focus on computer science, information technology, systems development or a related field
  • At least 3 years of working experience in Software Quality Control.
  • Proficiency in English (Speaking, Reading & Write).
  • Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented, curious mindset.
  • Be able in using tools for documenting & managing requirements, modelling business/technical flows & diagrams and creating mock-ups.
  • Willing to research new domains and learn new things.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level proficiency with MS Office programs and work-related software.
