British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and other UK universities. POSITION PURPOSE
The role is to provide support to the International Office Manager (IOM) in designing, planning, executing & managing the Department’s mobility programs as well as operating BUV’s international mobility student support services.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide support to the IOM in designing, planning mobility programmes;
- Manage/provide direct consultations to prospective students and stakeholders (partners, parents…) about BUV mobility opportunities as assigned by IOM;
- Coordinate with relevant Departments (or stakeholders) to ensure smooth operation of student mobility programmes (including pre-admission process, pre-departure briefing, visa application procedures, on-arrival procedures, post-mobility procedures; …
- Implement mobility programme and activities within approved budget of each programme;
- Develop, implement the international student engagement activities/projects as assigned by IOM;
- Be responsible for managing mobility students’ information & data report for the Department as assigned by IOM;
- Assist IOM in developing, updating and managing the Department’s information resources & mobility programmes’ materials;
- Participate in organizing and supporting all mobility projects/ international mobility engagement events as assigned by IOM;
- Conduct market research when being assigned by IOM.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Essential
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Management or Education Management or other related fields;
- Excellent English and Vietnamese verbal and written communication skills and listening skills;
- Experience in administration and event management from a multi-national organization;
- Good in Computer literacy skills : MS office applications (PPT., DOC., EXCEL., OUTLOOK);
- Good (at least be familiar) with Microsoft 365 (and its Applications);
Desirable
- Experience in international higher education & international cooperation department is an advantage;
- Preferrable skills: research and business analytical experience;
- Soft-skills: Public speaking/ presentation skills
- Language: Vietnamese, English (good or fluent all 4 skills)
Knowing Korean or Japanese or an EU-country language is an advantage
