BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (BUV)

POSITION PURPOSE

The role is to assist to the International Office Manager (IOM) in designing, planning, executing growth plan of all non-academic mobility programmes and ensure smooth operations, sufficient administrative system for all non-academic mobility programmes.

 AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Designing, planning, operating non-academic international mobility programmes (both inbound and outbound) following guidance and instruction of the IOM;
  • Managing profit & loss (P&L) performance for all non-academic mobility programmes (inbound & outbound);
  • Managing mobility stakeholder relationships (non-academic mobility partners) and ensuring proper, timely and accurate communications when consulting about and operating BUV’s non-academic mobility opportunities;
  • Developing and overseeing execution of process and procedures to ensure seamless coordination among various stakeholders: partners, students, BUV internal departments in any of BUV’s non-academic mobility programmes;
  • Coordinating with relevant departments (internal) and partners (external) to ensure smooth operation of non-academic mobility programmes (including announcement, registration process, nomination process, pre-departure briefing, visa application guide, on-arrival procedures, post-mobility procedures; …)
  • Developing diverse engagement activities/projects that offer unique experiences for students when participating in BUV’s organized non-academic mobility opportunities;
  • Developing and managing accurate information and data of non-academic mobility students and partners’ and preparing reports as assigned by IOM;
  • Coordinating with the University’s Marketing and Communications department in overseeing promotional activities and materials (brochures, prospectus, flyers…) which aims at raising awareness among students and parents, partners about BUV non-academic mobility portfolio/opportunities;
  • Participate in international conferences, events to promote non-academic mobility programmes as assigned by IOM;
  • Conducting market research when being assigned by IOM.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Essential  

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration/Event Management/ Tourism Management or other related fields;
  • Excellent English and Vietnamese verbal and written communication skills and listening skills;
  • Experience in administration and event management from a multi-national organization;
  • Good in Computer literacy skills : MS office applications (PPT., DOC., EXCEL., OUTLOOK);
  • Good with Microsoft 365 (and its Applications);
  • Design with Canva or other AI-design tools is an advantage

Desirable

  • Experience in managing international higher education & international tourism, events is an advantage;
  • Preferrable skills: research and business analytical experience;
  • Soft-skills: Public speaking/ presentation skills
  • Language: Vietnamese, English (good or fluent all 4 skills)
  • Knowing another language (Korean or Japanese, French, Chinese) is an advantage
