BUV Summer Gala Wins Students’ Attention

On Wednesday 22nd of June 2016, British University Vietnam hosted a Summer Gala for our students and local high schoolers around Hanoi.

The event was designed to give our attendees the chance to blow off some steam after handing in their assignments and let them enjoy the summer, as well as to introduce BUV’s dynamic education experience to high school students in the local area.

The Gala went off with a bang, including student performances from BUV’s Dance Club and Music Club. To provide extra entertainment, BUV recruited Erik St.319, a ‘hot’ young singer who’s very popular with local students. Erik performed three songs for us, including his famous tracks “Sau tất cả” and “Yêu và yêu”. In addition, the students had the chance to participate in a number of games. Our Football Club and Basketball Club put on sports related activities, while our Cooking Club provided refreshments.

We even offered Tarot Card Readings and two unique art exhibitions: a collection of portraits by local painter Minh Quan, and “Summer in Europe”, a photo gallery by BUV’s Marketing & PR Manager, Mr. Thang Nguyen. Finally, the Summer Gala ended with music provided DJ Hoang Nam, a well-known disc jockey who performs at a number of venues around Hanoi’s Old Quarter. DJ Hoang Nam provided us with some great music to finish the Gala with and enjoy some dancing.

All of our regular students and special visitors from local high schools enjoyed the event, and the feedback that we had was very positive! In all, BUV’s Summer Gala was another highlight on our long list of activities and events which are leading the way in Vietnam’s education and student experience.
