British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London and other UK universities. POSITION PURPOSE
We are inviting experienced candidates with international qualifications to apply for the Visiting Trainer Position (short-term) for the Training Programme for Hanoi School Leaders 2025. Details are as follows:
The trainers will be responsible for delivering training sessions on topics related to school leadership and management, human resource management, and the application of technology in education. The aim is to equip school leaders and managers with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools needed to excel in their roles as educators and school leaders, with a particular emphasis on autonomy, creativity, and the integration of technology.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Customising available materials to fit the targeted group of participants
 - Deliver lectures and practical training sessions based on available materials.

TRAINING TOPICS
- Human Resource Management Towards Autonomy and Creativity
- Deliver lectures and practical training on human resource management with an emphasis on promoting autonomy, creativity, and innovation in organizations.
 - Explore practical strategies for effective team building, staff motivation, and leadership development within educational institutions.
 - Provide hands-on tools and case studies for integrating creativity and autonomy into school management and classroom practices.
 
 - Teaching Leadership Models and Practical Application, International Experience
 - Teach various leadership models, including transformational leadership, servant leadership, and strategic leadership, tailored to educational contexts.
 - Facilitate discussions on real-world application of these models, offering both local and international perspectives.
 - Equip educators with the leadership skills needed to drive change in their schools, including decision-making, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
 - Developing School Management Skills in the Digital Transformation Era
 - Train educators on how to manage schools effectively in the context of digital transformation, including digital tools for administration and instructional leadership.
 - Provide strategies for managing change, leading digital initiatives, and developing school policies that foster innovation and digital literacy.
 - Guide participants through case studies and best practices for integrating technology into school operations and decision-making.
 - Application of Technology in Teaching, Assessment, and Grading of Students
 - Offer instruction on the latest technological tools and platforms for digital teaching, student assessment, and grading.
 - Introduce methods for automating and improving the grading process through digital tools, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and AI-powered platforms.
 - Provide practical training on the use of data analytics for tracking student progress and personalizing teaching methods.
 
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Essential
- Master degree in a relevant discipline area from an internationally recognized institution, PhD or Doctoral qualifications are preferred.
 - 03 year-teaching experience in related fields having taught programmes where instruction is 100% English.
 - In-depth understanding of own specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
 - Evidence of high quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
 - Excellent communication skills and an ability to enthuse
 - Excellent organisational and administrative skills
 - Clean police record
 
Desirable
- PhD in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline.
 - Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia.
 - Experience in teaching, curriculum development, quality assurance, and enhancement in an HE environment.
