Tourism, Hospitality and Events Programmes at BUV
BUV offers three comprehensive undergraduate programs in Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management, designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to excel in these dynamic industries. Our Tourism and Events programs are delivered in collaboration with Bournemouth University, ensuring that students receive a high-quality British education right here in Vietnam. Our International Hospitality Management degree is awarded by BUV and uses our state-of-the-art practical training facilities to prepare students for global management careers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

(Essential)
- PhD or Doctoral qualifications in a relevant discipline area from an internationally recognized institution.
- Ability to develop and deliver modules across our tourism, hospitality and events programmes, in areas such as marketing, human resources, or business management
- University and undergraduate teaching experience in programs delivered entirely in English.
- Higher education teaching qualification, recognition, or accreditation, or willingness to work towards this.
- Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge to develop teaching programmes and the provision of student learning support.
- In-depth understanding of own specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
- Evidence of (CPD) and/or professional industrial membership.
- Evidence of a positive impact at discipline or programme level beyond own teaching.
- Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality assurance and enhancement in an HE environment.
- Research experience.
- Evidence of high-quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
- Knowledge of higher education and ability to use a range of up-to-date delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
- Understanding equal opportunity issues as they may impact on academic content and issues relating to student needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clean police record.
(Desirable)
- Evidence of high-quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
- Experience of research and evidence of up-to-date research activity.
- Demonstrable ability to lead research projects, win bids, and generate income.
- Experience in academic management, with programme leadership experience of particular interest, especially for Senior Lecturer positions.
- Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review.
- Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia.
Note: Original certificates and degrees must be presented upon arrival in Vietnam, including degree, teaching certificates, and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) or other police checks for work permit purposes.
