“At BUV, we believe in creating a nurturing and empowering educational experience. The SAS office is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and our students’ success.” 

Emphasised at the grand opening event of the new Student Academic Support (SAS) office at the British University Vietnam (BUV), Professor Rick Bennett – Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President reaffirmed BUV’s commitment to fostering an environment of British academic excellence.  

During the grand opening, attendees had the opportunity to participate in interactive quizzes, enjoy special treats, and engage directly with the team of dedicated tutors. The event also featured representatives from Staffordshire University, one of BUV’s academic partners. Ms. Tracey Burrows, Senior Partnerships Officer, and Ms. Victoria Dale, Overseas Partnerships Academic and Student Administrator, attended to conduct an annual review of academic excellence at BUV. The establishment of the SAS office marks a significant milestone in enhancing student success beyond the classroom.

A Centralized Hub for Academic Excellence 

The SAS office aims to be a cornerstone in the academic journey of BUV students, offering a range of resources and programs designed to help them achieve their academic goals. Students can look forward to exploring the extensive support services available, from personalized tutoring sessions to workshops on academic skills and time management. The new office is not just a place for academic assistance but a space where students can cultivate their skills and thrive academically. 

Joining the grand opening ceremony, Professor Rick Bennett – Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President at BUV congratulated on this significant milestone: “I am delighted to celebrate the opening of our new Student Academic Support (SAS) office. This dedicated space represents a significant investment in our students’ academic journey, providing a central hub for personalized support and resources that extend beyond the classroom”.  

Commenting on the new SAS services and the welcoming office space, Ms. Burrows observed: “The new office is impressive, both in its design and purpose. It’s truly a wonderful space that reflects the commitment to academic excellence and student support.”

More Than Just a New Office 

The unveiling of the new SAS office also underscores BUV’s commitment to fostering an environment of British academic excellence and support.

The SAS office is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and students’ success. Going beyond the classroom, the SAS office provides a comprehensive support network for all students.  From peer tutoring and faculty guidance to dedicated programs like the IELTS Buddy initiative, SAS empowers students to reach their full academic potential. This commitment to student success is a cornerstone of BUV’s mission, fostering an environment that seamlessly blends academic excellence with exceptional support.

Ms. Dale emphasised the importance of such support structures in higher education. “We are delighted to see the comprehensive services offered by SAS and how engaged your students are in fostering a vibrant academic culture at BUV. The dedication to enhancing student success beyond the classroom is evident and commendable,” shared Ms. Dale.  

Looking ahead, there are tremendous potential for the growth and expansion of SAS services. Professor Bennett shared his vision for the SAS Office’s future development: “This office is just the beginning of our journey to continually innovate and enhance the support we provide to our students. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on our academic support culture and look forward to witnessing the achievements of our students as they utilize these resources.”
