On 2 April 2024, BUV had the honour of hosting Dr. Francesco Nava, the Academic Director of the EMFSS* programmes at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Dr. Nava’s visit marked a significant step in the ongoing collaboration between BUV and LSE, with discussions focused on future plans for joint initiatives between the two institutions, serving as a testament to the strong bond between BUV and LSE.

The visit commenced with a fruitful meeting between Dr. Francesco Nava and representatives from BUV, led by Prof. Rick Bennett – Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President at BUV, to explore potential areas of collaboration. Building upon the successful partnership established in delivering the BSc Finance programme since 2012, new programmes are set to be delivered at BUV starting from 2024. These new programmes, including BSc Economics & Management, BSc Accounting & Finance, and BSc Business & Management, are set to enrich the academic offerings at BUV, providing students with a diverse range of options to pursue their academic interests with one of the best universities in the world while staying in Vietnam.

Looking ahead, the future collaboration between BUV and LSE holds promising prospects, with plans for enhanced opportunities for student exchange programmes on the horizon. Dr. Nava’s visit reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to providing students with a world-class education, enriched by global perspectives and academic excellence. “We are looking forward to having more BUV students on the LSE campus, as well as bigger exchange among teaching centres so we can show our students different parts of the world. We believe that BUV is the ideal partner institution to deliver LSE’s programmes in Vietnam and to thrive as a student,” shared Dr. Nava.

Following the meeting, Dr. Nava had an engagement session with EMFSS students at BUV. During the lively discussions and insightful exchanges, Dr. Nava expressed his enthusiasm for the vibrant atmosphere on campus and the impressive calibre of students.
