ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This BUV foundation course has been specifically designed to prepare students to pursue their undergraduate degrees with University of Staffordshire, University of Stirling, Arts University Bournemouth and Bournemouth University programmes. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be equipped with the ability to think critically, logically, and creatively as well as develop transferable skills for a lifetime of employment.
YOUR LEARNING PATH
Students will gain an introduction to the basics of business management, participate in 3–hour sessions 3 times per week for 5 weeks with weekly assessment. After learning this module, sudents will be able to apply knowledge on business and management principles suitable for further study day, and to demonstrate understanding of the key contemporary business concepts, as well as to gain the ability to analyse the business external environment.
Subjects:
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with a clear overview of principles of academic Integrity, forms of assessment, academic writing, presentations, structure, clarity, and methods of argumentation and coherent expression. The module will be delivered in 3–hour sessions comprising both traditional lecturing with group work, practical exercises, and in–class assessment and knowledge checks.
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with an introduction to a wide range of necessary study and personal skills, including ideation and creativity, effective study, stress and health management, teamwork and collaboration, personal branding, and career development.

+84 (221) 6 250 250Students on a foundation/pathway programme are considered full students of the university. They may take part in extracurricular activities and access student support services, learning resources, and the university's app, just like any other student.
All majors at BUV require completion of a foundation/pathway programme beforehand. The only exception is for students on certain international curricula who meet the partner university's required scores for exemption; such cases are assessed individually by the Academic Affairs team.
Applicants must be aged 17 or above by 31 December of the year of application. Applications that do not meet the minimum age requirement are generally reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with the final admission decision made at the University of London's discretion.
The university requires completion of high school (Grade 12), but does not set any minimum grade requirement.
