Students from India visit the Temple of Literature, discovering Vietnam’s rich academic heritage

The Cultural Immersion Programme at BUV is an annual initiative designed to foster academic exchange and cross-cultural dialogue through a variety of engaging activities both on and off campus. This year marks a significant milestone as the programme welcomes its first student delegation from India. Through this programme, international students have the opportunity to explore Vietnamese culture firsthand, participating in activities and embark on experiential learning excursions to some of Vietnam’s most renowned cultural and historical landmarks, gaining deeper insights into the country’s rich heritage.

During their stay, the Indian students visited some of Vietnam’s most renowned cultural and historical landmarks, including the Temple of Literature, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, and the breathtaking Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh. These excursions offered them first-hand insights into Vietnam’s traditions, history, and diverse cultural influences.

In addition to cultural exploration, the students engaged with Vietnam’s innovative business environment through a visit to LacBird Corp., a leading startup specializing in user experience research and technology innovation. This experience enabled them to gain valuable knowledge about Vietnam’s dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem and emerging technological advancements.

A key highlight of the programme was the students’ visit to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, where they had the opportunity to discuss cultural and educational exchange initiatives. The visit provided an in-depth understanding of the Indian community in Vietnam and the diplomatic ties between the two countries, fostering meaningful discussions on future collaborations.

We had such a great time, and we are all very grateful for the insightful study tour. We gained so much knowledge and so many new opportunities. It turned out to be even better than we expected! The university, the food, the culture, the education, everything is fantastic!”

This collaboration with Assam Down Town University marks an important step in strengthening higher education ties between Vietnam and India. Through initiatives like the Cultural Immersion Programme, BUV continues to foster global engagement, providing students from diverse backgrounds with opportunities to develop intercultural competencies and gain international exposure. Looking ahead, BUV remains committed to expanding these programs and eagerly anticipates welcoming more student delegations from around the world in the future.
