In 2024, British University Vietnam (BUV) reached a significant milestone in its mission to prepare students for global integration, with over 60 outstanding students participating in academic exchange programs at top universities worldwide, thanks to the joint efforts of its partner network.

This November, BUV hosted the Agent Reception 2024 at the British Ambassador’s Residence, under the theme “Connect to Grow, Thrive Together.” The event celebrated long-standing partners who have accompanied BUV in identifying and nurturing young talent. It also served as a multilateral platform to share and update future plans and innovative methods to contribute more to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s education sector.

International Education Quality with a Far-reaching Vision

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Jason MacVaugh, Dean of Higher Education at BUV, reaffirmed BUV’s academic excellence. He emphasized that BUV boasts a faculty team that meets international standards, with 100% of lecturers holding global qualifications, and 55% holding doctoral degrees. This ensures that the university delivers teaching and research in line with global benchmarks. Additionally, many BUV lecturers have earned Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Senior Fellowship (SFHEA) certifications from the UK, further demonstrating BUV’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing teaching quality towards achieving QS 5-star education standards.

Beyond delivering world-class teaching, BUV continuously expands its partnership network with leading universities in nearly 50 institutions across 14 countries. During their three-year program, students have the opportunity to study and experience life in 2-3 different countries, equipping them with diverse cultural knowledge and life skills to thrive in a global environment.

These achievements are not only the result of the dedication of BUV staff and lecturers but also the enthusiastic cooperation of strategic partners who prioritize promoting BUV and introducing quality student candidates to the university.

Strengthening Partnerships for Future Collaboration

Ms. Vu Thi Giang, Head of Student Recruitment & Business Development at BUV, shared future collaboration plans during the event: “The journey ahead for BUV will continue to be a story of connection, innovation, and development for a globally integrated and successful young generation. BUV aims to strengthen our network of admissions partners not only in Vietnam but also internationally, providing learning opportunities for students from all regions and countries. Innovation and global connectivity will remain our guiding principles as we strive to establish BUV as a leading education destination in the region and the world.”

Collaborating for a Bright Future for Vietnamese Students

Leaders from BUV’s partner organizations praised the university’s strong reputation and exceptional education quality, especially in its international education collaborations. They expressed a desire to continue working with BUV in promoting and recruiting talented global citizens in Vietnam, especially as more students choose to study domestically due to stricter visa and financial proof requirements from countries like Australia, the UK, and the US.

In addition, BUV shared details of new academic programmes, international rankings of UK awarding bodies, and transfer programs with partners to facilitate future cooperation. These discussions aimed at creating modern and dynamic learning environments, ultimately providing the best opportunities for students and expanding global education and career prospects.

The event is part of BUV’s annual activities to strengthen and expand its strategic partner network, which plays a crucial role in promoting BUV’s 5-star facilities and international education brand to a broader audience of parents and prospective students in Vietnam and abroad.

Through continuous efforts to enhance partnerships and deliver international-standard education, BUV reaffirms its mission to provide students with outstanding learning experiences and global transfer opportunities. These partnerships create a win-win-win relationship between the university, partners, and students, contributing to a brighter future for young generations and the sustainable development of the education sector.
