BUV officially launches GamePad, aiming to nurture talents in the Vietnamese game industry

With an ambitious goal and vision for the future potential of the Game industry, BUV is delighted to announce the BUV GamePad – the Innovation, Investment, and Entrepreneurship Centre for Computer Games Programming, Art, and Design.
The announcement took place at the Vietnam Game Maker Conference 2023, where the BUV GamePad Project is anticipated to serve as a stepping stone and launching pad for Game industry students at BUV, as well as aspiring developers, designers, and entrepreneurs in the gaming sector. The project has three main objectives:
- Building a community to connect and provide career guidance for young game enthusiasts
- Offering learning opportunities and real-world experiences in the gaming industry
- Providing support for investment and startup for potential game projects

Proud to be the only university in the Northern region of Vietnam offering a regular program in Computer Games Design and Programming, BUV has long been a hub for dynamic activities within the Hanoi’s game development community. From creative challenges like Game Jam to networking events such as Game Nexus, BUV GamePad has tirelessly worked to provide an ideal environment for young talents to shine in the field of game development.

Notably, BUV GamePad is a project supported by the National Innovation Center (NIC). The newly initiated partnership between BUV and NIC underscores the university’s commitment to innovation, education, and its role in driving the growth of the gaming industry in Vietnam, continuing to nurture and showcase the untapped talent in the country.
Through nurturing and guiding activities for young talents in the gaming field, the BUV GamePad is expected to attract and cultivate future pioneers, paving the way for the development of the gaming industry in Vietnam.
