British University Vietnam Launches QS-Standard Campus Central 14:45:48

Committed to enhancing educational quality and student experience in line with QS 5-star international standards, British University Vietnam introduces the Campus Central, a pivotal hub delivering seamless information support to meet the academic needs of students and parents.

The opening ceremony of Campus Central took place on 28 July, with BUV’s leadership, faculty team and student community in attendance.

Proactive in Providing Information and Consulting Solutions

According to a recent record, BUV handles approximately 20,000 diverse requests annually from parents and students, averaging about 100 requests per day. These requests span all aspects of student life, including academics, assessments, finances, administrative procedures, and support for both on- and off-campus processes. Annual records have revealed a strong need for proactive information and academic advising, particularly for new students, during transitions between academic years, and at graduation. To address this, BUV established the Campus Central, a key hub connecting students with the institution’s support systems, ensuring seamless, reliable, transparent, and efficient information flow.

Campus Central serves as an ideal hub for both domestic and international students to proactively seek information and receive guidance on all aspects of their academic journey.

The establishment of the Campus Central aligns with the BUV’s strategy to meet international standards, bringing to life its “student-centric” philosophy.

A Strategic Hub

Campus Central is more than just a point for academic information or administrative processes. It serves as a “strategic hub” for the university’s operations, enabling students to access specialised departments swiftly, addressing queries efficiently and transparently.

The shift from a traditional Student Information Office to an integrated “one-stop” support centre, paired with comprehensive digitisation, marks significant progress. This allows students and parents to connect effortlessly with the university through multiple channels, including in-person, self-service, and mobile platforms.

Campus Central is designed as a “strategic hub” for all of the university’s academic operations.

According to Mr. Trần Đức Trung, Deputy Head of Academic Services and Student Administration at BUV, Campus Central is designed as an open, welcoming space where students always feel heard and supported. Located on the first floor of the Belfast Building – the “heart” of the campus – it offers a seamless experience in both physical space and operational processes. The integration of digital features, such as profile access, academic progress tracking, and service registration, streamlines administrative tasks, saves time, and empowers students with greater independence.

The integration of digital features helps reduce administrative burdens, save time, and enhance student autonomy.

Alongside the launch of Campus Central, BUV has been rolling out new platforms to enhance students’ holistic learning experience, including an AI chatbot system, the SITS system, Campus Central mobile app, and AI-Powered BUV Career Centre Portal.

In the long run, Campus Central aims to further develop smart applications, enhance integration with all university departments, and regularly collect feedback from students and parents to improve services in real time.
