BUV was officially announced as the first university in Vietnam to be awarded a 5-star Excellent University rating from the internationally acknowledged QS organisation, evaluated across 8 categories, over 50 set indicators and predetermined global standards.
On August 23rd, 2022, BUV was officially announced as the first university in Vietnam to be awarded a 5-star Excellent University rating from the internationally acknowledged QS organisation. The QS Stars rating system is a highly prestigious assessing system, brought into operation since 2004, and is widely recognised by internationally renowned institutions. By evaluating universities across 8 categories, over 50 set indicators and predetermined global standards, this rating system aim to provide universities with a mark of 1 to 5 stars to accredit the performance of these institutions.
Among all the universities that have been previously assessed by QS in Viet Nam, so far, British University Vietnam is the first and the only higher education institution to be certified with an overall rating of 5 star. Specifically, BUV was awarded 5 stars on the following criteria: Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Social Responsibilities, and Inclusiveness. Furthermore, the Finance and Economics programme of BUV was also honoured to receive a 5-star validation from QS for the criterium of Programme Strength.
Throughout 12 years of operation, with a spirit of continuous effort, relentless striving and persistent endeavouring, BUV has been attaining rewarding accomplishments in our journey of educating – training new generations of Vietnamese youth, particularly prestigious domestic and international awards. Such a success can only be attributed to the work of our diligent team of staff, faculty and students: From constantly revising and updating academic curriculum to adapt to the practical need of the labour market, providing students with internship opportunities in a wide range of industries and positions from their 1st year, maintaining a rate of 100% of students getting employed or moving on to higher studies within 3 months of graduation, to investing in academic and research projects. Notably, our 3-phase scheme of developing a campus of 6,5ha in area, and the formation of a scholarship and financial support fund valued at billions of VND – are affirmations of BUV’s commitment to contribute to the remarkable growth of Vietnamese education.
