On May 20th and 22nd, BUV hosted a gathering event between the university’s lecturers, parents and students studying International Business Management, Marketing Management, Tourism Management and Accounting & Finance. This is an annual event with hopes to create the opportunity for parents, students and lecturers to update and exchange information.
During the event, Dean Chris Jeffery talked about the overall experience that students are receiving, along with some of the difficulties they’re facing. The Dean also updated students and parents on the building progress of BUV’s Ecopark campus – our state of the art facility which will be operational in the first quarter of 2018. This event is also a chance to award students with excellent academic performance, active extra-curricular activities participation and an outstanding contribution for BUV’s student community.
Ha Duy Lan, one of the students, shared that he is delighted to see his contributions recognised, and felt “proud of being given an award by the Dean himself, in front of all the parents and student body”. Lan is among the most energetic and active individuals in our student community, participating in various performances inside and outside of BUV, and Lan always enthusiastically participates in activities organised by the university and constantly provides guidance to new members. This is the third time Lan has been given an award for his contributions. To Lan, joining activities “is the opportunity to experience and develop oneself”.
