“Company of the year Vietnam 2017 – 2018” is the biggest competition, hosted by Junior Achievement World Wide annually in six regions of the world. The contest is designed to create a realistic learning environment for high school students. BUV joins the competition as a sponsor and judge, coaching the teams in actual activities.
COY competition takes place from April to December 2017, there are 4 rounds including workshops, planning, presentation and interviews. All teams compete together through starting up a business, implementing a sales plan and selling products or services directly during 8 months. The theme of the contest is to build a business plan for a product or service that deals with solving social problems such as the environment, housing for low-income people, food hygiene and safety, school violence, transportation, etc. The profit from these plans is spent on contributing to charitable and social activities.
Throughout the competition, BUV as a judge wants to give contestants an opportunity to improve their business knowledge and practice important skills including leadership skills, teamwork, research, presentations, etc. to become successful citizens who are independent and fully social responsible. BUV is offering a scholarship valued at more than VND 700,000,000 in Degree programmes for the best contestant.
