As an organisation devoted to Vietnamese youth, BUV is proud to be a keen supporter of community activities dedicated to inspiring the youth of Vietnam. This year, it is our pleasure to be the Gold Sponsor of the “Run for Charity – Connecting Viet Youth” charity event. This event took place on August 6th, and is annually held by Hanoi Communist Youth Union’s Sudent Council, the Global Shapers Community – Hanoi Hub, SVUK, the Volunteer for Education Organisation and Vietnamese Student Communities Abroad.
Attending the event were 30 BUV students along with thousands of young people, both Vietnamese and foreigners. This is a chance for the youth to come together, connect and socialise with a common goal of contributing to build a better community. Money raised from this event will be dedicated to volunteer projects at National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and a school building for disadvantaged children in Tuan Giao – Dien Bien Province.
At the event, our representative Mr. Anthony Summers, Deputy Dean of British University Vietnam stated as follows: “This charity run is dedicated to the betterment of our community by appealing to young people to come together. This is a wonderful thing to be a part of because we share our goal on improving our society.”
