Complete English for University and gain automatic entry to Staffordshire Foundation. There is no need to re-sit the IELTS or any other English test.

There are six levels of the English for University programme to suit the individual needs of students.
Level 1 - Basic
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 2.0 with no band under 1.5)
Students Develop greater skills in listening and speaking for basic communication in and outside the classroom. Students expand reading and writing skills and are provided an introduction of basic grammar.
Level 2 - Elementary
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 3.0 with no band under 2.5)
The teacher will motivate students to speak and practise English through practical tasks and activities. Interactive lessons will help students understand and use new grammar, vocabulary and skills
Level 3 - Pre-Intermediate
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 4.0 with no band under 3.5)
The aim of the Pre-Intermediate module of the English for University level is to build upon a student’s foundation in grammar and vocabulary and to enhance his or her confidence in English communication.
Level 4 - Intermediate
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 4.5 with no band under 4.0)
The Intermediate level adopts a communicative approach to provide students with the opportunity to develop their general English capability in writing, reading, listening and speaking, while also introducing important skills such as individual and group-based presentations.
Level 5 - Upper-Intermediate
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 5.0 with no band under 4.5)
Students at this level will develop their confidence and language skills further by learning a wider range of vocabulary and language structures. They will also learn the language in a more sophisticated way when speaking and writing as well when reading more complex texts.
Level 6 - Advanced
(Entry Requirement: overall score IELTS 5.5 with no band under 5.0)
The Advanced level will provide a larger range of language for students to use and explore. Students will gain more control in using the language efficiently and formal and informal settings and will be able to communicate fluently and engage in discussion and debate. Students will also develop their powers of analysis, critical thinking, and reasoning.
There is also available an English class for Beginner, please contact our admission advisors for more information At this level, students will develop introductory language skills needed in classroom and in day-to-day situations. Focus on listening and minimal speaking tasks necessary to satisfy routine classroom and social demands and limited work requirements. Introduction to reading and writing skills, this module is for those with little or no literacy in English.
