Nguyen Bao Linh, a BUV freshman, has just been selected to become one just a few Vietnamese members to join VTV’s talkshow with the presence of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, UK.  Only 15 university students were selected and Bao Linh did a great job in the selection round.

After meeting Prince William, Linh shared: “I have been a big fan of the British Royal Family for a long time but I never thought that one day I would have chance to meet any of them in person. But my friends and staff here at BUV encouraged me to prepare my CV and make a video to be selected by VTV. Meeting the Duke of Cambridge, the future king of the United Kingdom, is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. During the meeting, I learned a lot not only about environmental issues, especially wildlife conservation, but also the very normal life behind the spotlight of the most famous people in the world. It is also a great pleasure for me to discover how the people I admire work on global issues and how great the impacts are that they have made so far. The Duke was very nice, open-minded and had a good sense of humor. To me it was a really special occasion. Thank you BUV and the wonderful people here for empowering me to do the thing that I used to think was impossible!

Bao Linh also won the HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York Scholarship in 2016, awarded by BUV, thanks to her outstanding achievements in academics and social activities as well as her potential to become a leader in the future.
